Dinners =] Part One

First will be the one on Monday night with Rachael's family in their new, spacious residence!

The chinese delicacies by Aunt was so appetizing, my favourites! Bak Kut Teh, Fried Prawns, Pai Kuat etc.

And of course, the reunion of 5 childhood friends, 5 then young investigators.

So years ago..

Having a common passion for Nancy Drew, Famous Five and The Five Find Outers and The Dog, 5 children declared themselves The Famous Five!

Being the eldest, MS was the leader, followed by Rachael, Joyce, Mei Yen and Vincent.

Coming from different boarding schools, from different countries(adapted from Mallory Towers and St. Claire), they return and never fail to hang out together during holidays.

Coincidently, mystifying incidents happened and they become involved in peculiar situations. Before long, they set out on exciting adventures and managed to solve these mysteries together.

Over the years, they are plunged into mysteries with only the strangest of clues to work on, such as spiteful letters, incomplete maps, ancient score sheets, eerie sounds and anynomous phonecalls!

Recently (last year), while on a rewarded cruise trip, they got caught into a whirlpool and found themselves stranded in the times of the Titanic!

Also, we travelled to many places like Africa and France to gather clues and to track down treacherous opponents!

And yes, all those required every one of our imagination and cooperation.

Indisputably, we shared so much joy together, running around the house - the globe we trot on. Sometimes, we roll in laughter on our absudity and spontaneous reaction. We first draft a storyline, but many a time, while we are at it , more elaborations and timely happenings come in to allow a smoother flow, or simply to add colours to the plot.

One person worth mentioning here is Rach, who always intricately document our adventures and provide us with perfect props. Thanks a million!

Distinctively, we are of an age range of 13 to 18 (currently), which isn't a barrier anyhow. When it comes to imagination, we are one! I guess being childhood friends does help, and of course bearing two sets of best friends-parents. And more than ten years of English classes together in PJ Speech &Drama (5 years) and UK English Training Centre (6 years).

All these years, we may have grown up but we still gather a few times a year to let our imaginations run wild. Many may find this habbit queer, but to us,

it's our world.

Well in reality, we are from one country, but not so when I'm in Aussie. But this lil past time won't be a past. We now have a different way of solving these mysteries in two countries, yet together.

Speaking of this, we haven't had weird happenings lately, have we?

I guess we will never know.

**********************************************************************

Under the rainbow under the sea,
Children forever children are we,
When we all grow up,
We'll be inspectors,
Under the rainbow, under the sea

Bom bom bom bom.
