Counting the days

Packing, weighing, unpacking and packing again.

I'm really, really dreading to leave.

Before this, the mere thought of living in Melbourne excites me so much.

But now, I'm not too sure about that.

By the way, my family has been extra nice to me, considering the usual tease and "bullying".

I accidentally slapped my aunt's butt, yesterday and she said, "It's okay, it's you maaaa"..

Where's the usual "HOW DARE YOU! SORRY NO CURE!"..

Or..

"Thank you girl" when I complimented on her new year wardrobe, instead of

"What do you want?"

oR..

When she stroke my hair softly during tv time instead of the usual

save-face-it's-war-not-girly-time (though I'm not complaining)

Now, I get to watch whatever TV channel I like without much "hassle".

I don't have to queue for my turn for newspapers.

I decide on what we eat.

I get extra play time with my baby sister.

I get pats of encouragement, not pokes in the ribs nor slaps in the butts (grandma and aunt).

I'm no longer addressed as "FEI FEI" (grandma) .

Sigh.

Can everyone stop being so well-mannered?

I want to stay back, at home.
