My weekend =)

Reasons why my weekend is a very pleasant one:

1. Jia Yen stayed over for 3 days 2 nights!!! We cooked together (thank god it's edible), did assignment, revise coursework, and watched COFFEE PRINCE as reward (9 episodes in 2 days, on and off after 1-2 hours of work *bliss*)!!!! It was a productive weekend as all of the sudden, I was so motivated to study! (As rewards await..)
2. Sixuan called using Voipstunt two times in two days! (Sorry for interruption, Aunt from M'sia stuff and all) Thanks gal, for sharing and being a good listener. I will remember your pearls of advice and encouragement! I wish you all the best in Canada! Loves!
3. This morning, Treetop Close (the private community I lived in) had its Working Bee day, to clean up the common area, before the Autumn falls (of leaves, that is). We raked the dry leaves and branches, cutted off some hedges and nonetheless, get to know our neighbours more.
4. Neighbours I met in Working Bee are aged mostly from 50-65, as the working class were mostly occupied with their work and chores during the weekend. Friends I have made: Barbara, Lauren, Kay(treasurer), Belinda(president), Michael, Michael's wife and kids(5 and 2 -year-olds, so adorable!!!) and a few others. Such a pleasure!!
5. Except the part when my neighbours had gone, "Oh, Mei! I thought you're his wife!" when my bro introduced me as his sister. =.='' eew and yuck.
6. After the gardening, Barbara invited us over to her house for tea. Jia Yen, bro and I and a few other neighbours went. Barbara made such scrumptious cakes that I had 3 servings , and actually woke up at 6.30 am to bake them! A white-haired septuagenarian, she has an amazing sense of humour that I instantly felt warm with! (She exclaimed, "HEY, WHO'S TOUCHING ME! You gave me a fright!", when it was actually the wind chime gently brushing her back)
7. After the tea, Jia Yen and I went for Dim Sum with Uncle Hoi Fatt and family. It's such a blessing to have an immediate, caring family I can fall back to over here. Meeting my adorable cousins, Mei Kwan, Mei Lee and Kok Weng again lightens up my day! It was Kok Weng's birthday and we had the best ice-cream cake ever, chocolate and oreo ice cream cake from Wendy's.
8. Jia Yen and I even gave a hand to Mei Kwan in her assignments, which proved to be so much more appealing and creative! (Making a mini-microven and a chinese poster on DBSK! How cool!)
9. Before going home, Aunt Linda segmented two flowering plants for me! Yeah!! Once I reached home, I quickly rooted them into the soil beside the Lemon plant and watered them a little! Hope it works!
10. Sent Jia Yen to train station as she needed to get back to the city for dinner. Our heart sank when the train doors closed and was leaving! Thankfully, this good samaritan helped us to hold on the automatic doors while we ran our lives towards the train and Jia Yen safely aboded the train!
