The morning itself was a worrying one, when I realised that my three cacti from Camerons had dampen soils, literally soaked ones. Recalling the farmer's advise to only water its soil once a week in a minimal quantum, I was instantly apprehensive of their survival. My fear was confirmed when my maid conceded that she watered them two days consecutively with a HOSE! Each bolded word sufficient to leave me flabbergasted and drop dead.
Omigosssssssshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!! x 1000
My poor cacti!
Flying to their rescue, which I hope is in time, I clumsily dried the soils with tissues and turned their pots horizontally, only to observe the water rushing down like a miniature waterfall.
*T.T*
The thought of these delicate lives being mishandled is an unbearable torment. Imagine your
Double T.T.
Ironically enough, I thought cacti are the toughest, having withstand the nastiest and most unpredictable weather in the dry desert. I guess it is the fish-out-of-water situation which made their lives so feeble in a different climate.
All I can say is, I hope for the best and prepare for the worse.
*Goes back to wailing*
