My Newborn

And so, this journal has been reeking of self-pity as it was abandoned for a week.

Oh well, either I'm running dry of ideas, or I'm living a very mundane life.

I digress.

A new life has found its way to me in tis season to be jolly. My baby!!!!

It was brought into the world just 2 days ago and is definitely my happiness! Adorable as it can be, it relishes simple games like fetching the ball. The way it squints its eyes when it yawns adds joy to your day. The unaccountable feeling of being in charged of this delicate life is truly amazing. Though, inevitably, it has a price to pay.

Calling for attention always, it throws its tantrum when receive delayed cleaning and meals. Nevertheless, it is extremely playful but lazy at the same time. Or a more pertinent way of seeing it - it lacks motivation. Well, even as the more complex and superior being, I lack the authority to see it as its flaw, as I myself, is one whole of a slacker.

Being a newborn makes it a lure to bigger bullies and this consequently takes a great toll on its confidence and self-esteem. My heart aches when I witness it being coerced into accepting its enemy's feaces. It may not agree with me but I taught it to "Love thy enemy" by returning their misdemeanor with pleasant gifts.

Stern as a discipline mistress, I seldom shower it with kisses nor praises, as I need it to be disciplined. I wouldn't know if it hates me from the bottom of its heart, but I certainly, am planning ahead. As any concerned parents may be, I quaver at the thought that its future lies in uncertainties. Will it eventually find its soul mate and settle down? Will it be able to survive on its own?

The above understates the extent of my qualms, but you may say it's unnecessary. Oh well.

Oh, did I almost forget to introduce my baby?

Meet MiMi, my Tamagotchi!

She is my Christmas's bundle of joy!

And yes, I'm seventeen! I literally begged my mother out of it. She gave in after a few "You sure?" and "You don't regret ah!". Yes, I'm big, brown, and beautiful! (er, wrong track?) Anyway, my ever bold alter ego took place and pronounced myself a normal, healthy teenager! despite all the gasps of disbeliefs in the family

Many other advanced electronic games may have obsoleted Tamagotchis, but it still rubs its magic on me! okay, maybe because I'm such a dolt in technologies.

I vow to take good care of it and be consistent with this effort for many generations to come. You see, MiMi is the first generation!

PS: Only digital pets work on me, so kill the thought of giving me a real one. I have a phobia for moving creatures but human, as I believe that this evil plot of wiping out the human civilizaition and making us their pets slaves, is churning endlessly in their so-called unintelligent minds.
